Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026
Macroeconomic and Financial Advisory (“MFA”, “we”) respects the confidentiality of the people and institutions that contact us. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website and by email, why we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
MFA is licensed in Masdar City Free Zone, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (License No. MC 15011). Our office is at FD – First Floor, Incubator Building, Masdar City. MFA is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about privacy at macrofin@macrofinadvisory.com.
What we collect
When you use the inquiry form or write to us, we collect the information you choose to provide:
- your name and title;
- your institution;
- your email address;
- the area of interest you select and any description you write;
- the content of any later correspondence with us.
When you visit the website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information in server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time of the visit. This is used to operate and secure the website.
We ask you not to send sensitive or non-public information through the form. Confidential material relating to a mandate should be shared only once we have agreed how it will be exchanged and protected.
How we use it
- to reply to your inquiry and discuss a possible mandate;
- to check for conflicts of interest before accepting work;
- to prepare and manage an engagement if one follows;
- to keep the website secure and working properly;
- to meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for marketing without your consent.
Our basis for using it
We use your information because you have asked us to respond to you, to take steps before entering into an engagement at your request, for our legitimate interest in operating and protecting our business and website, or where the law requires it. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Cookies, YouTube and other third-party services
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. To display its typefaces, the website loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service of Google LLC; when it does, your browser shares your IP address with Google. Google’s handling of that information is described in its own privacy policy.
The website also features a podcast episode hosted on YouTube, a Google service. The video is not loaded until you press play. If you do, it plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and YouTube may receive your IP address and use cookies or similar technologies under Google’s privacy policy. You can instead watch the episode directly on YouTube.
Who we share it with
Your information is shared only with service providers who help us run the website and our email, such as our web-hosting and email providers, and only for those purposes. Where a mandate requires specialist input from an expert in our professional network, we will share relevant information only with your agreement and under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law or by a competent authority.
Transfers outside the UAE
Some service providers, such as Google Fonts or email services, may process information outside the United Arab Emirates. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the information remains appropriately protected.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to manage any resulting engagement, and generally for no more than three years after our last contact, unless a longer period is required by law or for an engagement. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security purposes.
How we protect it
The website is served over an encrypted (https) connection, and access to inquiries is limited to MFA. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, including the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your information, or restrict or object to its use;
- stop processing that relies on your consent.
To make a request, email macrofin@macrofinadvisory.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the competent data protection authority in the UAE.
